THE RESULTS ARE IN, YOUARE A:

You are an Emerging Entrepreneur

Your mind is flooded with ideas, dreams, and possibilities. You’re excited about what the future holds and the journey ahead.

You may also feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Will I make any sales? Will my business be successful? Do I need a business license yet? What’s a PNL report?

When you’re first starting, embrace your doubts and press on anyway. Absorb as much as you can from those who are succeeding. Watch your costs and keep your processes as simple as possible. Growth is easiest with a simple business model. You got this!

3 Quick Tips to successfully emerge into full business ownership.
1. Inventory your assets.

Take an honest look at your strengths and your weaknesses. Where will you need the most support vs. where can you fly solo without help? There are 3 main currencies in life: Time, energy/knowledge, money. If you have the money, you can save time. If you have time, you can save money. Here are the questions you should ask:

  • Do I have the tools I need to get started (psst, money is a tool)?
  • Do I have a network of people who will support me through my launch?
  • Do I have the time and energy to give this all I can?
2. Set realistic and stretch goals.

I often hear, “Once I make enough money….” or “Once I have more time….). Those kinds of statements limit your growth. Setting attainable goals and setting ‘shoot for the moon’ goals is the best way to measure your progress and monitor if you’re on the right track. Here are some examples:

  • Three new clients by the end of the first quarter
  • Selling 40 new widgets by month-end
  • Growing my social media audience by 15%
3. Be vigilant with your goals but flexible with how to reach them.

The absence of a true goal can lead to burnout. Most business owners I know have a hard goal. When they are feeling overwhelmed, they pause and remember their mission. Much like when your mind wanders during meditation, and you come back to the breath, you must remind yourself of your goal.

I curated a collective of big dreamers, go-getters, and action-takers. I love being around them because when I feel my most insecure, they lock arms, and we push through together.
